Prada and Beige

Good Monday Morning Girls!

I hope you had a terrific weekend!  I spent mine working but still had a great time.

Today’s topic: Getting out of your own way

Since this year began, I have found myself doing things way outside my comfort zone.  Its crazy.  I’m amazed at the things I have been able to accomplish because I felt so intimidated in the beginning.  I felt like these things were way over my head and couldn’t wrap my mind around the idea of me being able to do them.   As it turned out, it wasn’t the issue that was the problem, it was me.

I was in my own way.  I had so many limiting beliefs that were holding me back.  I was telling myself that it couldn’t be done, without even realizing it.  I was believing the lies I was telling myself.  When in reality, they weren’t true at all.  Each of us is far greater than we can imagine.  We have so many abilities and strengths that we haven’t even begun to tap into.

I was able to overcome these limiting beliefs by learning a few things….

I learned that nothing is ever as good or as bad as you think it is.  I learned that even if you are thrown into a situation unexpectedly, if you map out a plan, set some goals, you can navigate your way through almost any circumstances in your life.  I learned there is great power in bouncing ideas off of your friends (the right friends).  And most importantly, I learned the power of prayer.  Don’t even get me started on this.  I will say this:  when you are faced with what seems like an insurmountable problem.  Pray first.

Now, on to the fashion…

Today’s outfit was inspired by wanting to step outside my comfort zone.  In the past, you wouldn’t see me wearing many brown or soft colors, let alone beige.  It just wasn’t my go to color choice.  My fashion philosophy was the bolder the color or print, the better.  Then I started experimenting.

The beige and cream colors play so nicely off each other.  Its a rich look without trying very hard at all.

I added this pop of coral color because I felt like the cream and neutral colors were the perfect backdrop to introduce a hint of colorPic4

You can never go wrong with anything Prada.  So there you have it.
