Happy Wednesday Girls!
I am having a great week so far. I’ve been setting some goals while finishing up some projects that have been on the back burner for a while. It feels good!
Dealing with discouragement
We’ve all been there – Dealing with discouragement. I don’t know a single person who hasn’t had set backs, faced disappointments or been let down at some point in their lives. Sometimes it can be tough to bounce back when your feeling like there’s no hope to a situation or you don’t know the next step to take. But no matter what, you have to hang in there. It does get better, I promise. Tomorrow is always going to be a new day and with each new day comes new smiles, new solutions, meeting new people and finding new joy. Isn’t that awesome!?
One of the bigger more challenging things that I continue to work on is getting this blog where I want it to be. You’d be surprised at how much work goes in this labor of love. Taking the pictures in and of itself can be a daunting task. First, I style the outfit complete with accessories and all, then I scout out the perfect location for the backdrop (and lets face it, sometimes I can’t always find the perfect location), then here’s the interesting part: I get to fight with my new camera by trying to figure out all those buttons to make it take the picture I want. And to this day, I still don’t have the picture quality that I want. But I REFUSE to give up.
And don’t even get me started on uploading the pics and dealing with software, writing topics, and fighting my way through WordPress.
This is the funny part of my story and the catalyst for today’s topic. So I decided to reach out to a couple other bloggers for help. Guess what, they never even responded! – LOL. But that’s life. That’s how it goes sometimes. Yes I felt discouraged. Why? Because I thought it would be fairly simple. I mean if you have a question or a struggle and ask for help, shouldn’t someone step in and help by answering a question or providing guidance. Uh, no not really. You see this is my point – its that feeling of frustration, and not knowing what the next step should be, that leads us to feel discouraged. But you have the power to use that same energy but instead harness it differently by changing how you think. At least, that’s how I see it.
I am actually excited to continue to search for resources to help me be a better blogger and you know what…its a challenge! I have to say that through all the ups and downs, its worth it all. I’m doing what I love and its fun. I have learned that no matter what great things you want to achieve in life – its going to be hard at first. That’s a fact. I think the universe needs to know how bad you want it first. It wants to know if you’re a fighter and if you are willing to pay the price by not giving up. If so, eventually you will find success on the other side of those tears. Now, fight damn it! Keep going and hold your head up high. You deserve the very best and you will have it!
Now, on to the fashion….
I thought I had posted all the outfits from my cruise but then I found this last one. These bright neon colors are vibrant and oh so fun. Neon fashion is trending right now in a big way.
Blue and orange naturally compliment one another and this outfit is no exception. With its bright citrus color, this soft knit sweater adds the perfect pop of color to the white and cream rustic denim capri’s.
I found this muli-colored clutch at Nine West and had to have it. Talk about interesting. It will be fun to see what other outfits I can pair it with.
I love statement necklaces. This one has so many shades of blue which makes it incredibly versatile.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Until the next time, Dress Fierce, Be Creative and Inspire Someone.
Big hugs and thanks for reading!
