Feeling Whimsical :: Vintage florals & Crochet sundress

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Since I started my blog (last October), I have had so many ups and downs.  I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve struggled to learn all the things that I needed to know in order to have what you see today on my site today.  Even still, its not exactly perfect and I continue to work on it everyday.   There are so many software programs and technology skills that play a huge part in what I do and each one of them comes with a massive learning curve.  When I started out, I had a vision of what I wanted.  I asked so many questions, but here’s the thing: nobody seemed to know the answers to some of my biggest questions.

I was told that certain things I wanted couldn’t be done.  I was told it wold take thousand and thousands of dollars.  I was told I should just settle.  But I refused.  Like a mother searching for her baby, I knew I could get what I wanted, I just had to keep searching and keep asking questions.  Yesterday was an amazing day.  After 8 long months, I found the answers to some of my biggest questions about my blog.  I learned how to do some things to make my blog not only better, but easier.  WOW!  I am still jumping for joy over this.  I am soooo excited!

I guess that’s how life is.  If you want something bad enough, you have to keep pursuing it, no matter what other people say.  No matter how crazy people think you are, keep going after what you know in your heart that you’re capable of achieving.

Today’s outfit of the day:

I bought this crochet spring floral sundress years ago from a boutique in Florida.  But after many spring closet cleanings, I literally threw it in my “donate” pile several times. Right afterwards, I’d pull it back out and think maybe I’ll donate it later.  This is the dress that I can’t seem to part with.

I guess the reason I love this dress so much is that you don’t see this style of dress too often anymore.  Its soft flowing fabric drenched in flowers is so feminine and delicate.

I have also had this vintage floral necklace set in my jewelry collection for years.  The earrings that came with this set were super long and too heavy for my ear lobes, so I removed the lower portion of the earrings so I could wear them.
