Fashion Challenge :: Creamsicle Skirt & Statement Necklace

Fashion Challenge :: Creamsicle Skirt & Statement Necklace

Happy Wednesday!

I am in a great mood today!  For the last few weeks, I had an issue with my website and by the grace of God it is hopefully fixed now!  I feel like I need to celebrate.  I love to celebrate – anything really.  Even if I’ve had a bad day, I want to celebrate when its over – LOL.  I crack myself up.

Okay today’s outfit of the day is interesting, let me tell you why.  A short while ago, I went to a store called Buffalo Exchange in DC.  This is an amazing place to shop because you never know what you’re going to find there.  Some things are designer and on consignment, while other things are brand new.  Its like Christmas in there – with a twist of course.

So I found this skirt and when I first saw it, I was like – hmmm this is going to look really great, or really awful.  I am always up for a fashion challenge so to me, it became a personal “fun mission” to buy this skirt and see how I could style it.

Obviously what you see below is how I decided to style this skirt – BUT the fun does not stop here.  I want to give this skirt away to one of you guys and see how you can style it!  That’s right, if you can fit it, you can HAVE it.  This sounds silly I know, but I think this will be a fun thing to do.  This is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE!

ARE YOU UP FOR THE CREAMSICLE CHALLENGE??

If so, send me a comment below and I will send you my personal email address so you can give me the details as to where to mail this skirt.  In exchange, you have to style it, and send me a pic.  I will post it on my website for everyone to see!  This will be FUN FUN FUN!  I can’t wait.

The skirt is made by JCrew and its size 2 BUT before you go saying “thats too small, my butt will never fit in that”  – Listen, this skirt runs really big.  I usually wear a size 4 or even 6, so don’t let the size 2 discourage you.  Just try it.

I decided to pair this skirt with the color teal because I think these two colors compliment each other nicely.  However, another color that I think would look great also is the color purple.  Oooh!

  1. Love the challenge. Have recently been losing weight, and am unsure whether this might fit. Recently bought size 6 pants at Lands’ End, but every manufacturer runs differently.

Would find it very helpful for you to give exact waist and hip measurements before I enter to win a skirt that is too small,

    Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. HI Carol,

I sent you a personal message through your Facebook. I will measure the skirt and send measurements to you in the next day or two. Thank you for reading my blog!

  2. I think you did it great with this challenge! 🙂 And it’s a lovely idea to give the skirt away to see the creativity of somebody else (or more ladies after each other) 🙂
